The path runs more or less parallel with the shoreline/east coast railway line. From here there are great views across the Firth of Forth to Edinburgh with Arthur's Seat and Salisbury Crags prominent. Carrying on we will soon reach the seaside town of Burntisland. We return to Aberdour using the same route.
The route uses good footpaths, although can be uneven and rocky in places.
