Leaving the shores of Linlithgow Loch we walk through the town to join the Union Canal (which runs from Edinburgh to Falkirk). We follow the tow path for some 3 miles and after crossing the Avon Aqueduct leave the tow path and make for Muiravonside County Park. After a loop around the park we re-cross the aqueduct and return to Linlithgow via the John Muir Way.
This walk uses pavements, tow path and grassy/woodland paths. Note the way is open to the elements therefore appropriate waterproof outdoor clothing and walking boots required.
