Fund-raising for St Andrew's Hospice

During the morning service on Sunday, 10 September 2017, a cheque was presented to Karen McFadzean, Director of Fund-raising for St Andrew's Hospice, for £3681.

This sum had been raised through various activities, including a coffee morning and bag packing at the local branch of Tesco supermarket.  It also included the sum of £150, raised by members of the Youth Church.

In accepting the cheque on behalf of St Andrew's Hospice, Karen thanked the congregation for their generosity and described some of the work carried out by the hospice.  She explained that, as the hospice was 30 years old and with new building regulations, it had been decided to embark on an ambitious fund-raising project in June 2016.  It is hoped to raise £9 million by 2020 and already the fund stands at £5.4 million!
