Rev Dr Elijah O Obinna

The Rev Dr Elijah Oko Obinna, his wife, Favour, and their four children arrived safely this morning at Glasgow Airport.  They were transported to St John's Manse, where everything was ready to receive them, thanks to all those who had worked over the past few months to make it ready.

The Obinna family will have a week to settle into their new home before Elijah is inducted to the charge of Carluke St. Andrew's in deferred union with Carluke St. John's although, in the first instance, he will be the minister of St John's.

The Service of Induction will be held in St John's church on Thursday, 11 February 2016 at 7:00 pm  The Moderator of Lanark Presbytery, Mrs Anna Lumsden, will preside and the preacher will be Rev Dr Nikki M McDonald BD MTh.  After the formal service, there will be an Induction Social to welcome the Obinnas to our church family.
