en route to Loch Drunkie
Starting just outside Brig 'o Turk, this walk takes you through a mature pine forest on a winding path along the shores of Loch Venachar to the boathouse then on a gently rising forest road to open countryside. Now onto another forest road to Loch Drunkie. Cross the dam at the end of the loch and walk along the shore path with it's forest sculptures. After a short detour we rejoin the main forestry road back to the start point.
Most of the paths/roads are well defined but there are a couple of stretches where paths are unclear and stony (& muddy in wet weather) therefore appropriate walking boots/shoes are a necessity.
