Christian Aid
In the twelve months ending July 2006, £10,500 was raised and sent off to Christian Aid H.Q. This amount was raised by the churches in Carluke working together during Christian Aid Week and raising funds at other events throughout the year.
We are poised again to embark on another year of fundraising. Unfortunately, grocery packing in Somerfield, planned for October, had to be cancelled but we are re-scheduled to be at the check-outs at the end of January to raise funds for Christian Aid. Plans are also underway for a fundraising event in the Spring, so we shall keep you informed of developments.
Just around the corner, however, is our annual Festival of Christmas Praise on Sunday 10th December at 7.00pm in Kirkton Church, Station Road. This year the choir of Law Primary School will make a welcome return together with the Carluke Primrose Orchestral Flutes (note their new name). So look out for posters advertising this event. We hope you'll come along to this joyful advent occasion, to enjoy and take part in the festive concert. A collection will be taken for Christian Aid.
