Mission Accomplished
The five-day Carluke Gospel Tent Mission in July saw the highest attendance for any tent mission organised by Perth-based People With A Mission Ministries and Carluke’s own Revival Ministry.
The 250-seater marquee was packed every night and over 100 people, including some of our own members, gave their lives to Jesus after hearing international speaker John Purcell share the Good News at the joyful, Spirit-filled evening rallies.
John Purcell spoke in parables and explained how Jesus releases people from their ‘prisons within a prison’. At one meeting he produced a giant brandy glass with a goldfish swimming inside and said, “Many people are trapped in their own personal goldfish bowls – it could be addictions, alcohol or depression, but we can escape into a sea of love by crying out to Jesus from the heart.”
The salvation and spiritual growth in July have encouraged Revival to consider repeating the tent mission next year. For details of Revival’s outreaches including men’s and family breakfasts, contact Ken Newton through the church website.
