The 1st Carluke Scout Group founded by members of St Johns Church in 1908 is now looking forward to their centenary in 2008. To help us celebrate our 100th birthday we are planning a few fund raising events over the next few years. The first of these is Bags to Scouts. This is a way of clearing out your wardrobes and cupboards of any clothes, shoes, curtains and handbags, which are not suitable of course for Choices. Why not bring them along to the Scout Hall on any of the Section nights during the month of January. Beavers meet on Tuesday at 6.30 pm, Cubs Mondays at 7.15 pm and Scouts Thursday at 7 pm.

As well as fund raising, we are looking for former Scouts who would be interested in coming along to help on an occasional or regular basis in any of the Sections. We currently have leaders who are qualified in Archery, Hill Walking, and Mountain Biking and offer a varied programme on Section nights. However, due to work commitments and a increase in numbers, we require more help . If you are interested in finding out more about scouting why not contact Bryan Hamilton, Group Scout Leader Tel: (01555) 771204
