The BIG Saturday
It has been four years since the influential report called Church Without Walls was produced. The Church of Scotland wants 2005 to be a year to take stock of what has been going on over the past four years under the banner of Church Without Walls.

A national event has already taken place in Edinburgh at the end of May to which every congregation were invited to send representatives, and The Big Saturday will be a regional event for churches in Clyde Presbyteries region, made up of Greenock & Paisley, Glasgow, Hamilton, and Lanark Presbyteries. The Big Saturday will take place on 10 September 2005 at the SECC when there will be something for everyone and all ages.
For adults there will be an opportunity to see what other churches are doing in the main exhibition hall, plus seminars to hear in more detail about this work, which will range from pastoral care to youth work, from outreach into the community to worship groups, and many more subjects.
For children (primary-aged) and families there will be a fun-filled afternoon, 'Something Fischy is going on!' in the Clyde Auditorium led by Fischy Music.
In the evening the Clyde Auditorium will be used for a large worship service (it can accommodate 3000) led by a praise band of musicians from local churches at which the Moderator of the General Assembly, David Lacey, will lead communion.
