  Eco-Congregations

Eco-Congregation developed from a partnership between the Government funded environmental charity ENCAMS (which runs the Keep Britain Tidy Campaign and the Going for Green brand) and the Environmental Issues Network of Churches Together in Britain and Ireland. It aims to encourage churches to consider environmental issues within a Christian context and enable local churches to make positive contributions in their life and mission.

Eco-Congregation Scotland is part of the wider Eco-Congregation Programme in Britain and Ireland. It is run independently but retains its valuable links with the other parts of the Programme.

  Emmanuel Healthcare

Emmanuel Healthcare, formed by a merger between EMMS International and Emmanuel Hospital Association (UK), is a voluntary Christian organisation. As EMMS it was internationally known for its pioneering work in training medical students for work overseas. Today, it is involved in primary healthcare programmes in India, Malawi and Nepal, as well as supporting the Nazareth Hospital and helping other mission hospitals in many countries.

St John's has been involved with the Nazareth Hospital for several years, helping ot raise money on Biblical Bike Rides, and more recently with our minister, Mike Frew, spending some study leave there and being appointed to the Board of Management.

  Fairtrade Foundation

The Fairtrade Foundation licenses the FAIRTRADE Mark, to products which meet internationally recognised standards. They work to raise awareness of the FAIRTRADE Mark, to deepen understanding of the Mark and to increase sales of Fairtrade certified products. Fairtrade Fortnight is organised each March, when local groups across the country link up with supermarkets, wholefood shops, churches and schools to promote Fairtrade.
